Chris Head is the Principal of Chris Head & Associates, a small consultancy practice that specialises in providing independent advice to a wide range of clients on the commercial, contractual, and regulatory aspects of Water Resources Management and Hydropower.

He has over 30 years of experience, working on such projects in more than about 25 countries.  Before becoming an independent consultant in 2001, Chris was a Director of an international firm of Consulting Engineers.

Chris specialises in providing high-level strategic advice to governments, utilities, international financing institutions, and private developers.  Amongst his recent assignments, he has advised on:

	Auction of concession for Santo Antônio (3,150 MW), Brazil.
	Investments in the hydropower sector, Romania.
	Financing of the Eastern Nile Multipurpose Project, Ethiopia.
	Due-diligence on power trading, Cahora Bassa, Mozambique.
	Structuring of the Rusumo Falls Project, Central Africa.
	Privatisation of existing hydro assets, Macedonia.
	Nam Theun 2 project (1,060 MW), Laos
	Water resources management, Kafue River basin, Zambia.
	Financing water infrastructure (report & training), World Bank.
	Renewable energy start-up company
	EPC contract arrangements (Expert Witness), North America.
